GoHighLevel A2P & Business Texting Setup

Make business texting reliable, compliant, and useful

Enciu Consulting fixes the gaps that make business texting unreliable: number setup, registration details, consent, message templates, and testing. Third parties review registration, so approval is never guaranteed.

🌐 Remote across the U.S. 📱 Business number and A2P setup ✅ Consent, opt-out, and testing checks
The Problem

Texting breaks when the number, consent, and process do not agree

For U.S. texting over a local number, A2P 10DLC registration connects the sender, use case, consent process, and sample messages to the number being used. Missing or inconsistent registration details can delay approval or stop the texting setup from being ready for live use.

We treat texting as part of the customer process. Registration details, consent language, message examples, number setup, templates, and CRM records should agree before handoff.

Business information does not matchRegistration can fail when the submitted legal or business information is incomplete, formatted incorrectly, or inconsistent with the records used to verify the business.
The consent process is vague or forcedA campaign submission needs a clear explanation of how people agree to receive texts. Website consent should be explicit, voluntary, and separate from actions that do not require SMS consent.
Messages are configured before the registration is readyUnregistered U.S. 10DLC traffic can be blocked. We plan the number, registration, templates, and testing in the right order instead of treating registration as an afterthought.
What Changes

A texting process with a documented sender, consent path, and operating rules

The finished process gives the business a defined way to send and receive approved messages while keeping registration and consent clear.

01

Registration built around the real use case

The Brand, Campaign, business details, message examples, and opt-in description are based on how the business actually plans to text customers.

02

Consent is easier to trace

Website or form-based SMS consent can be reviewed so the wording, checkbox behavior, source page, and CRM record support the stated messaging use case.

03

The customer path is tested before handoff

Inbound and outbound messaging, approved templates, number behavior, and opt-out handling are checked before the texting channel becomes part of the client workflow.

Deliverables

What we configure to make texting usable

The standard service covers the core phone, A2P, template, and testing work. Registration timing and approval remain outside Enciu Consulting's control because the submission is reviewed by third-party systems and carriers.

Business phone number setup

Provision or configure the business number used for HighLevel texting when the number work is part of the approved scope. A preferred local area code can be requested, but exact number availability is not guaranteed.

A2P 10DLC registration assistance

Prepare and submit the Brand and Campaign information through HighLevel's Trust Center using the client's verified business details, messaging use case, opt-in description, and sample messages.

Consent and message-flow review

Review how the business collects SMS permission and make sure the submitted registration description matches the live consent path. Website-based SMS consent should not be preselected or required for unrelated actions.

SMS templates

Configure reusable message templates for approved business situations such as booking confirmation, on-the-way communication, or follow-up, based on the client's actual process and approved wording.

Opt-out and help behavior

Confirm that the texting setup supports clear opt-out handling and that the registration materials accurately describe how recipients can stop messages or request help.

Inbound and outbound testing

Test the business number, manual texting, replies, approved templates, and the CRM conversation record before the texting channel is considered ready for handoff.

Texting Example

Example: a customer opts in, books, and receives an approved confirmation

This is an illustrative flow. The final consent wording, message copy, timing, and automation rules depend on the business use case and approved registration.

1

The customer provides a mobile number

The form or booking path clearly presents the SMS consent choice when texting consent is being requested.

2

The consent choice is stored

The CRM record can retain the submitted consent state and source information so the business has a traceable record of what the person agreed to.

3

The approved message is sent

A confirmation or follow-up uses the business number and approved message pattern that matches the stated campaign use case.

4

Replies stay in the conversation record

Inbound replies can appear with the contact inside HighLevel so the team can continue the conversation from the same CRM record.

5

Opt-out requests are respected

The texting setup is checked so recipients have a clear way to stop messages and the business understands that consent is not permanent or transferable.

What You Need

Registration works best when the business details and consent path are ready first

We collect the information needed for the submission before sending it for review. Missing business records or unfinished consent pages can slow the process.

01

Verified business information

Legal business name, entity type, tax or registration details when required, business address, contact information, and a working website that clearly relates to the business.

02

Clear messaging use case

We need to know why the business will text, who receives the messages, how often messages may be sent, and what representative messages look like.

03

Documented opt-in path

The registration needs a clear description of how recipients consent. When consent is collected on a website, the live page and wording need to match the submitted explanation.

How It Works

From business details to a tested texting channel

We prepare the operational and registration pieces together, then test the texting setup after the required registration state is in place.

01

Review the current texting process

We review the business number, existing messaging account, website forms, SMS consent language, message types, booking or follow-up use cases, and any current HighLevel configuration.

02

Collect the registration information

The client provides the verified business details and confirms the messaging use case. We prepare the Brand, Campaign, opt-in description, sample messages, and other required submission details.

03

Submit and configure

We submit the A2P registration through HighLevel, address correctable submission issues when they arise, and configure the number, templates, consent storage, and texting settings included in scope. Approval timing and final review are controlled by third parties.

04

Test and hand off

Once the texting setup is ready for live use, we test inbound and outbound messages, templates, replies, and opt-out behavior. The client is shown where conversations appear and how messaging charges are handled.

Common Questions

Questions about GoHighLevel A2P and business texting setup

These answers cover registration, approval, consent, business numbers, usage charges, and what the quoted setup can include.

What is A2P 10DLC?

A2P 10DLC is the U.S. registration system used for application-to-person messaging over 10-digit local phone numbers. The registration identifies the business sending messages and the Campaign use case associated with that messaging.

Is A2P approval guaranteed?

No. Enciu Consulting can prepare and submit the registration and help correct issues that can be addressed, but the Brand and Campaign are reviewed by third-party systems and carriers. Incomplete, inconsistent, or noncompliant information can result in rejection or a request for changes.

Can I send business texts from a U.S. local number before registration is approved?

We do not plan a new U.S. 10DLC business-texting setup around unregistered traffic. Unregistered messages can be blocked, so the live messaging plan should account for the required registration and the number being attached to the approved Campaign.

What does SMS consent need to look like?

The exact wording depends on the use case, but the consent path should clearly tell the person what type of texts they are agreeing to receive and how to opt out. When consent is collected by checkbox, it should be voluntary and not preselected, and declining SMS should not prevent a person from completing an unrelated primary action.

Are A2P fees and message charges included in the quoted setup fee?

No. The setup fee is quoted after your system review. Enciu CRM access is $300/month for every customer beginning on Day 91. Registration, monthly campaign, phone, carrier, SMS, MMS, and other usage charges are third-party or platform charges and are billed separately.

Can you get me a local business phone number?

We can provision or configure a business number when that work is included in scope. A local area code can be preferred, but the exact number or area code depends on current inventory and cannot be guaranteed.

What can be included in the quoted A2P setup?

The approved scope can include business phone number setup, A2P registration assistance, SMS templates, and testing. It can be quoted by itself or included in a broader setup.
